Our Pork

The Metfield Pigs – These were the first animals that Tony sourced direct from the farm back in 2006, our pork is supplied from the award-winning farmers Peter & Gill Mortimer of Fir Tree Farm Metfield.  Peter is always keen to teach others about husbandry skills and what to look for in good pigs.

Peter, his wife Gill and family, are regulars at winning awards at Shows throughout the Eastern Counties. Peter Mortimer is well known and highly revered throughout the pig breeding world and his enthusiasm for the industry has never waned through livestock highs and lows. 

Since we have worked in conjunction with the Mortimers, we have built up an excellent relationship to increase our customer’s confidence, with full traceability and consistent quality assured.

Tony’s Tips
If you have a meat thermometer, the final cooked temperature of your pork should be at least 75° Celsius.
